MAC-O-CHEE CELEBRATES 50 YEARS


 


MAC-O-CHEE CELEBRATES 50 YEARS
WITH “BEAUTY BOWL MEMORIAL” & HALL OF FAME INDUCTIONS



    The Mac-O-Chee Quarter Midgets, one of USAC’s .25 Midget member clubs, will celebrate its Golden Anniversary October 2-4 with racing, a fish fry and Hall of Fame inductions at the Lion’s Club Park in West Liberty, Ohio.

    The racing action will also feature exhibition races for trophies for Deco/open classes based on vintage formats and anyone wishing to display vintage quarter midget memorabilia (cars, parts, equipment, etc.) is welcomed. The exhibition races are open to anyone and will be held in conjunction with the Friday Night Shootout Series and the weekly points races on Saturday and Sunday.

    The “Bull-Ring” is located just north of State Route 245, at the east edge of West Liberty.

    Sing-In on Friday commences at 6 pm, with the “Friday Night Shootout” racing starting at 7. Saturday’s program of events begins with a weekly points race, beginning with racing at 9:30 am, followed by the “Beauty Bowl Memorial” sign-in and practice at 4. The Lion’s Club fish fry is scheduled between 4:30 and 7, with the opening ceremonies and Hall of Fame inductions at 6. The “Beauty Bowl Memorial” racing action gets under way at 7. Sunday’s weekly points racing starts at 1 pm.

    Slated for induction into the club’s Hall of Fame are club owner/founders Donald Yoder, John Plank, James Hostetler, Frank Peterson and Junior Stewart, president John Black, drivers Chris and Steve Yoder, Doug, Darry and Dennis Plank, Nick Hostetler, Curt Peterson, Ronnie Stewart and Larry Flora, plus car owner Bill Hostetler.
