6th ANNUAL "CAROLINA FALL NATIONALS" NOV. 25-27

6th ANNUAL “CAROLINA FALL NATIONALS” NOV. 25-27

A large contingent of cars are expected to compete in the 6th Annual “Carolina Fall Nationals” USAC Mopar .25 Midget event November 25-27 at the North Carolina Quarter Midget Association’s home track in Salisbury, N.C.

The event debuted in 2005 and has grown each year to become a truly “must attend” event, attracting drivers and their families from Canada, the Midwest, southeast and the mid-Atlantic states. In addition to the racing opportunities, the event gives families the opportunity to experience the many benefits and attractions of the Charlotte, N.C. area, including visiting numerous Sprint, Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series shops, the brand-new NASCAR Hall of Fame, The Pit indoor karting facility and the Great Wolf Lodge Hotel and Indoor Water Park.

The three-day event, which culminates with racing Nov. 26-27, has already created its own historical significance, with past winners including Ohio’s Tyler Shullick, a winner at this year’s Mopar .25 Midget Nationals at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, plus USAC Ford Focus regulars Nick Drake and Ross Rankine and former NCQMA track champions Ryan Blaney and Jared Fryar.

North Carolina has already produced its share of USAC feature winners in 2010, including Nick Drake, Blake Grimm and Mark Miller of Mooresville, Katlyn Stanley of Concord, Nolan and Neal Allison of Greensboro, Ryan Repco of Denver and John Ruggiero Jr. of Lincolnton.

Pre-registration is available online at www.ncqma.com on September 8 at 7 pm. Parking at the Salisbury facility opens at 1 pm November 21 and controlled practice is available from 8 am to 5 pm on November 24. There will be no engines running on Thanksgiving Day, but safety inspections are from 5-7 pm and sign-ins from 6-8. Racing gets under way at 8:30 am on November 26. Those who have not run a USAC event in 2010 can do so by utilizing the USAC “FREE” pass opportunity.

“NCQMA is one of the nations premier .25 Midget tracks, capturing a win at the Carolina Fall Nationals is a great accomplishment” states USAC Developmental Director James Spink. “The Mopar .25 Midget series is all about families and what better way to spend the holiday than with friends and family at the track.”
