AMBITIOUS .25 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TOUR ANNOUNCED


USAC’s .25 Midget schedule for 2010 includes 10 “National” events, with others under negotiation as the nation’s youth face an ambitious calendar as they compete on the Generation Next “National Championship Tour.”


 


The “Brickyard” and the “Mickyard” are both part of the 2010 activities, which feature National events in six different states. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway hosts the “Battle at the Brickyard” July 6-10, while the inaugural USAC .25 event at Walt Disney World in Florida is scheduled June 16-19.


 


The inaugural .25 Midget “dirt nationals” are also on tap at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio as part of the dynamic USAC “4-Crown Nationals” on September 25.


 


“March Midget Madness” on March 27-28 kicks off the busy National slate at the spectacular NCQMA Speedway in Salisbury, N.C.. District Championships follow at Metro Atlanta, Ga. (Eastern) April 10-11, the Orange Show Speedway in San Bernardino, Calif. (Western) May 8-9 and at Kokomo, Ind. (Midwest) June 5-6.


 


The second annual “Little Hoosier 100” is set for July 30-31 at Newton Park in Lakeville, Ind. and the “Jegs Crown” unfolds September 18-19 at the Buckeye Club oval located at Columbus (Ohio) Motor Speedway.


 


“We are very excited about our 2010 National slate,” says USAC Developmental Racing Director James Spink. The addition of our new venues to this calendar are major steps in our development of this initial step of our ladder system. Obviously the venue serves as an ideal site for recreation and family fun, which is the cornerstone of our .25 Midget operations.”


 


Drivers will earn points during the 10-race series and their best five finishes will count toward being crowned 2010 USAC .25 Midget National Champions.
