Michael Atwell, Tyler Clem and Tony Stewart All Win


With the Boss man getting his first win as a driver/owner, the first in sprint cup racing since 1988 and Ricky Rudd at Martinsville,
the two youngest developmental drivers of Tonys stable came thru on the same day.
 

Michael Atwell age 9 and Tyler Clem age 6 both won their A Main features in USAC quarter midget competition Sunday in Tampa Fl.
 

Tyler won the Heat race earlier in the day to start on the pole for this 30 lap Amain race in the Junior Honda divison. Tyler led flag to flag holding off two hard chargers in Danny Sams and Stetson Lail. It was Tylers 4th Amain victory of 2009 and marking his 18th in his young 20 month career.
 

Michael also won his earlier heat race putting him on the pole of a ten car field in the Light 160 division. Michael also led flag to flag with some close racing coming from Matt Green and Garrett Jones. Michaels light 160 was the class of the field, with leads up to 1/4 track at times prior to cautions.
 

Michael and Tyler return to action this Friday in New Smyrna Florida, and several other racing dates in June, gearing up for both the QMA and the USAC national events in July. The USAC event is held in Indianapolis July9th-12th. The QMA event is held in Huntsville Al, July 17th-25th.
