COONS 3-FOR-3 AFTER ISW VICTORY AT KAMP

Boswell, IN…….Jerry Coons Jr. of Tucson, Ariz. scored his third consecutive USAC National victory at Kamp Motor Speedway Thursday night, leading all 30 laps of the Chevy Powers Indiana Sprint Week feature. Coons also won last year’s Indiana Sprint Week and Indiana Midget Week features at Kamp. The win was also the 71st in USAC National Sprint competition for the Hoffman Auto Racing Team who fields Coons’ Kroger-Tide, Bounty-Pringles F5/Gaerte Mopar. Tracy Hines, Shane Cottle, Jesse Hockett and Levi Jones rounded out the “top-five.” Dave Darland, who finished 10th, continues to lead the Indiana Sprint Week standings by nine over Jones, while Jones still leads the National points by 31 over Coons. The Indiana Sprint Week series continues Friday night at the Bloomington Speedway.
