HMIEL GETS USAC NATIONAL WIN #1 AT IOWA

HMIEL GETS USAC NATIONAL WIN #1 AT IOWA

Newton, IA…….Shane Hmiel of Pleasant Garden, N.C. finally cracked the USAC National winnjers circle Friday at Iowa Speedway, winning the “Casey’s General Stores Challenge” 50-lap USAC National Sprint race in his Rotondo Weirich/Benic Enterprises Maxim/Gaerte Chevy. He led all 50 laps to beat Bobby Santos III, Dave Darland, Tracy Hines and Jacob Wilson. Series point leader Levi Jones finished ninth. Jerry Coons Jr. was the fastest qualifier.
