SATURDAY'S ROSEVILLE "DOUBLEHEADER" INCLUDES SPRINTS

SWANSONS SWEEP TOP 2 SPOTS AT MADERA

This Saturday’s USAC Western “doubleheader” at All American Speedway in Roseville, Calif. showcases both the Sprints and Midgets.

Based on last Saturday’s results from Madera, Calif., the field will be chasing the Swanson family from Kingsburg, Calif. Kody was Saturday’s Sprint race and Tanner won the Midget race at the third-mile Madera oval!

The Swansons continued their 2009 racing success at Madera Speedway, taking the top two spots in the 50-lap USAC Western Sprint Car feature. Kody passed Davey Hamilton on lap seven and led the rest of the way for the win in the TK Motorsports entry, while Tanner took second in the team car. JoJo Helberg was third, ahead of Tony Hunt and Brian McClish. Tanner was the fastest qualifier.

The series standings entering Saturday’s Roseville races show Tanner 84 points ahead of Helberg. There are 74 points available in Saturday’s Sprint program.

In four Roseville appearances this year, Tanner has posted a pair of wins and a pair of seconds. Kody has a win, as does Tony Hunt, while Helberg and McClish each have a runner-up finish.
