USAC STAT BOOK: AMSOIL NATIONAL SPRINT CARS - 11/11/2019

San Tan Valley, Arizona (November 11, 2019)………Entering this weekend’s 52nd annual Western World Championships presented by San Tan Ford at Arizona Speedway, just a little bit has changed on the statistical front.

C.J. Leary extended his USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car point lead to 44 points over Tyler Courtney with two races remaining following his victory last Saturday on the final night of the Budweiser Oval Nationals presented by All Coast Construction in Perris, Calif.  Leary (Greenfield, Ind.) became the first driver in the series this year to reach 30 top-ten finishes, which he’s accomplished in 32 starts.  He also earned his 10th Fatheadz Eyewear quick time last Thursday night at Perris to become the first driver to reach double-digits this year in that department.

Brady Bacon (Broken Arrow, Okla.) won both Perris prelim nights to reach the six-victory mark in 2019, just one behind Courtney for the series lead.  Bacon led all 60 laps on the first two nights to take over the top spot for most laps led in the series this year (203).  Meanwhile, Courtney (Indianapolis, Ind.) extended his amazing run of heat race victories to 16 this season, six more than his nearest competitor.

Bacon’s two Perris victories were the 28th and 29th of his career, moving him past Levi Jones and J.J. Yeley and into a tie with Robert Ballou for 13th all-time.  Leary’s ninth career USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car victory on Saturday night at Perris tied him with Mario Andretti, Hunter Schuerenberg and Robbie Stanley for 51st on the all-time series win list.

Western World features USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship with the USAC/CRA & Sands Chevrolet USAC Southwest Sprint Cars, plus the USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship with the USAC Western States Midgets for two straight nights, Friday, November 15 and Saturday, November 16.

Both nights, pits open at 2pm Mountain, grandstands at 3pm, drivers meeting at 4:30pm, and cars on track at 5:30pm.  Adult tickets are $30-$35, seniors are $30-$35, kids 11 and under are $15, adult pit passes are $40, kids 7-12 pit passes are $20, kids 6 and under pit passes are $10.

A practice night begins the festivities on Thursday, November 14.  Adult pit passes are $30, kids 7-12 pit passes are $10 and kids 6 and under pit passes are free.

If you are unable to make it to the track, all the action can be watched live on FloRacing, listened to live on the USAC app with live timing and scoring available on both the USAC and Race-Monitor apps.
