Bedford, Pennsylvania (April 25, 2025)………With some rainfall this afternoon and more predicted later, Bedford Speedway promoter Joe Padula was forced to pull the plug on Friday’s April 25th USAC Innovative Machining Technology East Coast Sprint Cars Series presented by Baer Den Farms.
“I just wish the forecast was better,” Padula said. “We love the USAC East Coast series and look forward to this race.”
Series officials and Padula will discuss a possible makeup date.
Hopefully the third time is the charm. Port Royal Speedway is set to host the new season opener on Saturday, April 26, and a great field of cars is expected. The last time the series visited the Speed Palace, Christian Bruno won his first career feature. He will be looking to repeat that effort.
Defending series champion Steven Drevicki is looking to score his first of what he hopes will be many wins this season. But he will have to battle with the likes of Kenny Miller III who hopes to be looking down on the competition from the top step of the podium. Veteran Ed Aikin will certainly be looking to add his name to the win list along with series competitor Bruce Buckwalter Jr.
Three-time and defending MASS 305 series champion Buddy Schweibinz will be taking the wing off and competing with a 360 under the hood for the first time with the IMT USAC East Coast Series. Former 305 series champion Mike Haggenbottom will also be looking to find victory lane in the Kevin Kelly owned #51.
USAC National Sprint Cars Series driver Briggs Danner will be aiming for victory lane. Danner, a past USAC East Coast series champion, would love to claim victory at the Speed Palace.
Look for all of these drivers along with Tommy Kunsman, Jason Cherry, Ronald Helmick, Chris Allen, Mark Bitner, the Fraker Brothers, and many more to battle it out Saturday night at the always well prepared Port Royal Speedway for the Keith Kauffman Classic.
