Speedway, Indiana (May 1, 2025)………With 72 cars passed, Kale Drake has jumped out to a sizable lead in the USAC National Parallax Group Passing Master standings entering the month of May.
Drake (Collinsville, Oklahoma) has already advanced 72 positions in feature events throughout the 2025 USAC national season, making numerous charges up through the field in USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car competition aboard his 2B Racing No. 2B and with the USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midgets at the wheel of his Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports No. 97K.
To further illustrate Drake’s passing pace thus far in 2025, previous passing master point leaders since the advent of the contingency award include: Robert Ballou (37 in 2024), Carson Garrett (15 in 2023), Buddy Kofoid (26 in 2022), Robert Ballou (50 in 2021) and Tanner Thorson (18 in 2020).
Drake’s tear in 10 starts presents an average of 7.2 cars passed during each feature thus far to this point. Furthermore, Drake’s current lead is 24 more than his nearest competitor, C.J. Leary with 48. Briggs Danner is third at 36 with Jadon Rogers fourth at 26 and Chase Stockon fifth at 24.
Parallax Group has posted a $2,500 year-end reward to the USAC nationally licensed driver who passes the most total cars during feature events throughout USAC’s 2025 national season. The bonus payday awaits the driver who advances the most positions combined between USAC’s Silver Crown, AMSOIL National Sprint Car and NOS Energy Drink National Midget divisions.
The 2025 season marks the sixth year of the USAC National Passing Master championship. Past champions include Chris Windom (2020), Justin Grant (2021 & 2022) and Daison Pursley (2023).
Next up on the calendar for Drake are back-to-back USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship events this weekend, Friday-Saturday, May 2-3, at Rossburg, Ohio’s Eldora Speedway.
