28 DATES, 11 TRACKS MAKE UP 2024 USAC MWRA SPRINT SCHEDULE

Speedway, Indiana (February 19, 2024)………The fifth season of USAC Wholesale Batteries Midwest Wingless Racing Association Sprint Car action is set to commence in 2024 with 28 dates at 11 different venues in the states of Missouri, Kansas and Iowa.

While 18 of the 28 total events will count toward the season championship, 10 other races will be considered non-points special events, paying no points toward the standings.

The season begins and closes at Grain Valley, Missouri’s Valley Speedway.  The opening date on April 6 marks the first of six Grain Valley appearances by the series in 2024 with additional dates on a monthly basis taking place May 11, June 22, July 13, August 24 and the title decider on September 28.

Six stops are also set for Electric City Speedway in Butler, Mo. starting on April 19, with additional races slated there for a two-night show on May 17-18 followed by a single date on June 28 and another two-night affair on July 19-20.

On April 20, the GPS points toward Odessa, Missouri’s I-70 Motorsports Park for an event paying 50 appearance points to all competitors.  Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan. welcomes the series twice, once for a spring date on May 10 and once more during the summer on August 16.

Missouri’s Nevada Speedway closes out June on the 29th of the month for its lone visit to the track during the 2024 campaign.  Two more nights await the series at Missouri’s I-35 Speedway on July 6 and September 7.

As far as the non-points special events go, 10 dates dot the calendar throughout the year, including a pair of back-to-back offerings with the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship on May 31 and June 1 at Iowa’s Knoxville Raceway for the Avanti Windows & Doors Corn Belt Clash.

Eight of the 10 USAC MWRA special event dates will be held in conjunction with the POWRi WAR Sprint Car League.  On May 3, Fulton, Missouri’s Callaway Raceway marks the spot, which leads into the following night’s program on May 4 at Wheatland, Missouri’s Lucas Oil Speedway.

USAC MWRA returns to Lucas Oil Speedway for three-straight nights under the lights on September 12-13-14 for the Hockett-McMillin Memorial.  Double X Speedway is slotted for the Tribute to Jesse Hockett on May 26.  The Triple Sprint Showdown presents consecutive events for the series at Eldon, Missouri’s Lake Ozark Speedway on August 31 and September 1.

Wyatt Burks (Topeka, Kan.) enters the season as the defending USAC MWRA driving champion, which he has accomplished on three occasions during the first four years of the series in 2020-22-23.  Kory Schudy (Battlefield, Mo.) captured the 2021 season championship.
