The 2017 USAC Eastern Regional Midgets presented by ARDC will resume action April 29 at Susquehanna Speedway in York Haven, Pa. after a successful series opener last Saturday at Lanco’s Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway in Newmanstown, Pa.

Alex Bright of Collegeville, Pa. won Saturday night’s race and leads the series standings going into the race at Susquehanna. He has an 11-point lead over Troy Betts in the new standings. Bright trailed Ryan Greth for the first 11 laps of Saturday’s race, then led the final 14 to win the 25-lapper.

Betts finished second in Saturday’s race ahead of Tommy Kunsman Jr., Adam Pierson and Anthony Nocella.

Rain forced cancellation of last Friday’s originally-scheduled series opener at Linda’s Speedway in Jonestown, Pa.
