WASHINGTON IGNITES RETURN TO GRAYS HARBOR;

GOETZ, BLONDEL SCORE VICTORIES

The Honda USAC Washington Ignite Midgets return to Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma Saturday. Point leader Chase Goetz leads the series into this week’s action.

Goetz, of Snohomish, Wash., led all 25 laps Saturday night to win the Honda Ignite USAC Washington Midget race at Grays Harbor. Garrett Thomas was second ahead of Ariel Biggs, Hannah Lindquist and Todd Hartman.  Lindquist won the NWSprintcarhistory.com “Rookie of the Race” award and Thomas was the Speedmart Hard Charger.

Jarid Blondel of Orange, Calif. led all 30 laps to win Saturday night’s Honda USAC Western Ignite Pavement Midget race at the Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway Bullring. Blondel was also the fastest qualifier and he was followed at the checkered flag by Bryant Dawson, Christine Breckenridge, Shawn Buckley and Michael Fanelli.

The Honda Western Pavement Ignite Midgets return to competition September 14 at Las Vegas.
