LAS VEGAS BULLRING HOSTS HPDs MAY 30;

PRICKETT, BUCKLEY SCORE WESTERN WINS AT VISALIA, LEMOORE

USAC’s HPD Midget series are “off” this week awaiting a Western pavement date May 30 at the Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway Bullring. Dylan Nobile leads the series to the Bullring.

Shawn Buckley of Simi Valley, Calif. won Saturday night’s 25-lap USAC Western HPD Midget race at Lemoore (Calif.) Raceway and has moved to the lead in the series standings as a result. He took the lead from Ashley Hazelton on lap eight and led the rest of the way to beat Cody Jessop, Hazelton, Ron Hazelton and Jet Davison. Jessop now leads the overall Western HPD Midget chase.

David Prickett of Fresno, Calif. won Saturday night’s 25-lap USAC Western HPD Midget race at Keller Auto Raceway at Plaza Park in Visalia, Calif. He took the lead from Jessop on lap four and led the rest of the way to beat Buckley, Jessop, Ron Hazelton and Tom Paterson.
