HPDs CLOSE 2015 CAMPAIGN AT HICKORY AND LAS VEGAS

USAC’s 2015 HPD Midget slate concludes this weekend with races in North Carolina and Nevada. Championships will be crowned Saturday night at Hickory (N.C.) Motor Speedway (Eastern) and at the Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway Bullring (Western Pavement and Overall).

Chris Lamb of Colfax, N.C. leads the Eastern series to its final race at Hickory, leading the standings by 74 points over Jessica Bean as he closes out his second series title. He previously won the 2013 crown and has scored eight victories this season. Bean has a trio of wins as well.

Cody Jessop of Madera, Calif. and Dylan Nobile of Clovis, Calif. will conclude championship drives at Las Vegas Saturday. Jessop’s first USAC championship will come as the overall Western king, while Nobile’s first USAC title comes as the Western Pavement king.

Nobile has a dozen pavement wins already this season, while Jessop’s lone 2015 victory came at Lemoore, Calif.

Matt Lundstrom was the Eastern winner at Hickory in April. Nobile has won four times at LVMS, while Dezel West and Ashley Hazelton have also posted Las Vegas victories this year.
