USAC MICRO SPRINT CHAMP TO EARN MIDGET RIDE WITH MF MOTORSPORTS IN 2017

USAC MICRO SPRINT CHAMP TO EARN MIDGET RIDE WITH MF MOTORSPORTS IN 2017

The upstart USAC Super 600 Micro Sprint Championship is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with MF Motorsports to offer the inaugural series champion a race aboard one of the team’s potent midgets during the 2017 season.

“We are extremely excited with the package we have put together with MF Motorsports,” series director Doug Lockwood said.  “This series is all about driver development.  To offer our champion a chance to run a midget is really exciting for the future of the sport.”

In its first year of existence, the USAC Super 600’s will offer points for each event held at California’s Keller Auto Raceway at Plaza Park in Visalia and Dixon Speedway in Dixon as well as Caledonia, New York’s Limerock Speedway.  Points will also be up for grabs on three occasions at Bakersfield (Calif.) Speedway and in one event at Santa Maria (Calif.) Raceway.

With a wide variety of tracks to choose from, the driver crowned as series champion will be the one who has the highest 15-race average finish throughout the season.

“It is a new series that we are all really excited about,” Lockwood added. “Micros have been huge in California for years and we are hoping that USAC sanction brings more notoriety to the class.  With this midget opportunity up for grabs to the champion, we are hoping that it helps the class continue to grow.”

MF Motorsports currently competes regularly in USAC's Western States Midget division with drivers Michael Faccinto, who currently sits second in the series point standings and Nate Waite.  Danny Faria, Jr. and Frankie Guerrini have driven for the potent team in 2016 as well.
