SPEED2 MIDGET DOCKET INCLUDES IMRA, DMA, EASTERN, WESTERN AND MIDWEST THUNDER

SPEED2 MIDGET DOCKET INCLUDES RALEIGH, DURHAM, CANTON, BRADFORD, MADERA, MONTPELIER

USAC Speed2 Midget action heads for North Carolina, Vermont, California, Illinois and Indiana this week, with six races on tap. The Speed2 Eastern series visits Wake County Speedway in Raleigh, N.C. Friday and Orange County Speedway in Durham, N.C. Saturday, with Jessica Bean still on the top of the point rankings. The Speed2 Deery Brothers IMRA Midgets are at Spoon River Speedway in Canton, Ill. Saturday, with Dillon Morley the point leader. Adam Whitney leads the Speed2 DMA Midgets back to Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, Vt. Saturday. Jesse Love IV leads the USAC Speed2 Western US Overall and Pavement series to Madera, Calif. Saturday and Aaron Leffel leads the Speed2 Midwest Thunder series to Montpelier (Ind.) Motor Speedway Saturday.

Seth Carlson of Brimfield, Mass. led all 20 laps of Friday night’s USAC DMA Midget race at Albany-Saratoga Speedway in Malta, N.Y. to beat Adam Whitney, John Heydenreich, Derek O’Hearn and Dean Christensen. The victory left Whitney as the new series point leader entering an August 12 race at Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, Vt.

Korbyn Hayslett of Troy, Ohio led the final four laps to win Saturday night’s 20-lap USAC Speed2 Midwest Thunder “special event” at Waynesfield (Ohio) Raceway Park. Kobe Allison took second ahead of Aaron Leffel, Brad Strunk and Reed Salony. Ryan Barr, Leffel and Allison all led laps before Hayslett took over.

Aaron Leffel of Springfield, Ohio led the final four laps to win Sunday night’s 20-lap USAC Speed2 Midwest Thunder Midget feature at Kokomo (Ind.) Speedway. Kobe Allison was second ahead of Korbyn Hayslett, Kent Christian and Corey Bedwell. Allison won the Erwin Chrysler bonus for the best finishes over three nights of racing (Lima, OH, Waynesfield, OH and Kokomo), and Hayslett was second and Leffel third in those standings.

Dillon Morley of Moline, Ill. led all 15 laps to win Saturday night’s USAC Speed2 Deery Brothers IMRA Midget race at 34 Raceway in Burlington, IA. Adam Taylor, Mitchell Davis, Jeff Mallonee and Tyson Hart rounded out the “top-five” at the finish.

Jesse Love IV of Menlo Park, Calif. won Wednesday night’s 20-lap USAC Speed2 Western US Midget race at Ventura (Calif.) Raceway. Daniel Anderson took second ahead of Adam Lemke, Kyle Beilman and Tom Paterson.

Saturday’s Speed2 Gulf Coast Midget race at Stephenville, Texas was cancelled.
