SPEED2 MIDGETS COME TO MADERA (WEST) & KENLY (EAST) THIS WEEKEND

The 2018 USAC Western US and Eastern Speed2 Midget series both open their campaigns this weekend.

The Western series, rained out March 17 at Madera (Calif.) Speedway, returns to that track this Saturday night, with Toni Breidinger hoping to extend her all-time lead on the USAC female feature winners list.

The Eastern series debuts Saturday night at Southern National Motorsports in Kenly, N.C. The defending series champion is Jessica Bean, whose eight career USAC wins rank third all-time among female drivers.

Three-time Eastern champion Chris Lamb won both 2016 Kenly features, the last time the series competed there.  Meanwhile, eight of Breidinger’s 14 career wins have come at Madera.
