2023 USAC WEST COAST SPRINT CAR SLATE REVEALED
Speedway, Indiana (December 21, 2022)………Eleven events on the California coast dot the slate of the USAC West Coast Sprint Car schedule for the upcoming season in 2023.
Nine of the eleven races are full points-paying with the final two being non-points special events.
The kickoff and closeout to the points season commences and completes at the very same venue – The Dirt Track at Kern County Raceway in Bakersfield, Calif. Two dates are set for season lid-lifter on February 25 and the season capper on October 7, which marks a championship-deciding night for both the USAC West Coast Sprint Cars and USAC Western States Midgets.
Ventura Raceway is the most prevalent venue on the season’s calendar with four points races and a pair of special events. The Ventura dates are slotted for May 13, June 17, August 26 (with the USAC Western States Midgets) and September 16.
Additionally, the final weekend of the racing season brings the series to Ventura for the 82nd running of the Turkey Night Grand Prix on November 24-25 in conjunction with the USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship.
Bakersfield Speedway’s fast and furious 1/3-mile dirt oval hosts the series on two occasions on April 8 and June 3. Meanwhile, Santa Maria Raceway welcomes the 360s for the lone time all year on July 29.
