Kansas City, Kansas (June 17, 2023)………On Friday night at Kansas City, Kansas’ Lakeside Speedway, Wyatt Burks of Topeka, Kan. took his third victory of the season with the USAC Wholesale Batteries Midwest Wingless Racing Association Sprint Car in dominating fashion.

The Wyatt Burks Racing No. 11w was on point all night long as “The Sheriff” was number one in passing points after the heat races, but rolled a (2), putting him on the inside of the second row for the feature.

On lap seven, Burks blasted into first place and led to the finish, besting second place Dakota Earls by 4.709 seconds as he lapped up to third by the race’s end in the 25-lapper that went green from start to finish.

Runner-up finisher Earls (Independence, Mo.) and Braydon Cromwell (Lone Jack, Mo.) grabbed the final spot on the podium while Luke Howard (Overland Park, Kan.) took fourth following a battle with Chris Parkinson (Gladstone Mo.) who came home fifth.

Earls had his finest night ever with the USAC MWRA series as he won the first heat race and followed that up by leading early in the feature before being passed by Burks to finish a career best second place.

Meanwhile, Cromwell fought his way to another podium after starting seventh in the 25-lap feature while Howard finished fourth after earlier winning heat race two.

The second half of the top-10 on this night was led by Chad Goff who finished sixth in the Lewis Racing No. 2x with Bonham, Texas chauffeur Kobe Simpson earning hard charger honors after driving from 13th to seventh in the A-Main.

Brad Wyatt followed in eighth with Chad Winfrey ninth and Warren Johnson in a Rick Smith-owned machine rounding out the top-10.

Chad Tye was rewarded with the Valor Racing bonus and Tom Curran received the Hard Luck award courtesy of Xtreme Color.
