Osborn, Missouri (September 30, 2023)………Kory Schudy stormed to his fourth victory of the USAC Wholesale Batteries Midwest Wingless Racing Association Sprint Car season during Saturday night’s finale at Osborn, Missouri’s U.S. 36 Raceway, night two of the Missouri Nationals.

Meanwhile, Wyatt Burks completed his road to the championship with his third title over the last four seasons following a third-place result, his 12th finish on the podium 17 feature events this year.

On this evening, Schudy (Battlefield, Mo.) was not to be denied, leading from start to finish after beginning his race from the pole position in his Jon Sawyer Racing No. 28 after finishing a close second in his last two starts at U.S. 36., including Friday night’s preliminary round.

The previous night’s winner, Wesley Smith of Nixa, Mo., put on a charge by running from 10th to second while Wyatt Burks (Topeka, Kan.) fought his way to third place from his eighth starting spot followed by Red Oak, Iowa chauffeur Josh Most in fourth and Chris Parkinson (Gladstone, Mo.) taking the fifth spot.

Zach Clark finished off his MWRA campaign, coming home in sixth as Luke Howard raced to a seventh-place result.  Jack Wagner, driving Max Grogan’s No. 66m, took eighth after transferring through the semi-feature.

Xavier Doney jumped into his sister Natalie’s 305 sprint car after her feature was completed, and after much thrashing, converted the winged machine into a non-winged racer to run ninth, finishing in front of 10th running Buddy Parker in his Weld/Parkinson No. 93.

Earlier in the semi, Chris Desselle took the win in his own number 1 followed by Wagner, Lance Silvers in third and Tyler Burton in fourth.

Special awards on this night, courtesy of Xtreme Color, were Dakota Earls (Hard Luck Award) after flipping in the feature while running sixth.  Chris Parkinson Racing captured the sportsmanship award.
