What a weekend for the USAC Mopar .25 Midget drivers as they were part of an open wheel extravaganza weekend at the historic Milwaukee Mile with the IZOD IndyCar series!

"This weekend was certainly memorable for the USAC "Generation Next" Tour and our Mopar .25 Midget drivers,” stated USAC Developmental Director James Spink. “What an honor for our series to be teamed up with such a huge event! The exposure and media coverage garnered this weekend was as priceless as all the smiles on the drivers faces.

Thursday drivers had a full afternoon of practice on the specially constructed oval on the grounds of the Wisconsin State Fair Park in Milwaukee, while Friday, drivers ran their heats, lower mains and A-Mains averting possible weather problems which were originally forecast for Saturday.

The event was held in conjunction with the Milwaukee Mile’s racing extravaganza featuring the USAC Traxxas Silver Crown, USAC Mopar National Midget, IZOD Indycar, Firestone Indy lights, USF2000 and Star Mazda series. As part of the weekend’s program, the USAC Mopar .25 Midgets conducted demonstrations at the Mile and participants were involved in media center activities, earning unprecedented exposure for USAC’s next generation of racing talent.  In addition Mopar .25 Midget drivers were part of opening ceremonies of the Milwaukee 225 IZOD IndyCar race getting up close and personall with the "World's Fastest Drivers!"

Drivers from Indiana, Florida, North Carolina, Michigan, New Jersey and Ohio captured A-Main victories at the oval located next to the Cream Puff Pavilion at the fairgrounds.  The track lay out was similar to the oval set ups used at the upcoming "Battle at the Brickyard "and "Little Hoosier 100" events.
