77 WESTERN FOCUS EVENTS HIGHLIGHT 2010 SEASON


Seventy-seven races at 13 different speedways in California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah are listed on the 2010 USAC Western Ford Focus calendar released today.


 


Various championships will be available, some for the first time in USAC history, as “district” concepts are employed to maximize car counts.


 


In addition to overall Ford Focus and Young Guns championships, championships will also be awarded in Utah and for pavement and dirt competition. In addition, Eastern and Midwest Young Guns Championships will be contested for the first time in 2010.


 


The calendar opens with a March 13 “doubleheader” at Ventura (Calif.) Raceway and concludes with the Ford Focus race at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale (Calif.) as part of the 2010 “Turkey Night Grand Prix.” Other tracks involved in the 2010 calendar include Havasu 95 Speedway in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Nevada and Rocky Mountain Raceways in Salt Lake City, Utah, plus the following California tracks: Lucas Oil I-10 Speedway in Blythe, Stockton 99 Speedway, Orange Show Speedway in San Bernardino, All-American Speedway in Roseville, Perris Auto Speedway, Santa Maria Speedway, Bakersfield Speedway and Ocean Speedway in Watsonville.
