CARLSON, EDWARDS SCORE BAKERSFIELD VICTORIES

USAC's California Dirt Ford Focus and Junior Ford Focus Series will compete on the quarter-mile oval at Perris (Calif.) Speedway this Saturday as part of a program also featuring the Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint cars on the half-mile.
 
Nick Carlson (Ford Focus) and Kyle Edwards (Juniors) are the respective point leaders after recording feature victories Saturday night at the Bakersfield (Calif.) Speedway.
 
Carlson, of Norwalk, Calif., led the final four laps after passing Eric Gunderson on lap 17 and led to the checkered flag to beat Gunderson, Sean Dodenhoff, Jet Davison and Nick Rossi. J.R. Williams led the first two laps before yielding to Gunderson.
 
Edwards, of Salina, Okla., led all 15 laps to beat Andrew Mulhearn, Andrew Murray and Jarid Blondel.
