FOCUSES RETURN TO ACE SPEEDWAY OCTOBER 29

DAVISON, CUSTER “DOUBLE UP” IN SANTA MARIA FOCUS ACTION

 


USAC Ford Focus activity is idle this week as Eastern teams prepare for their 2011 series finale at Ace Speedway in Altamahaw, N.C. October 29.


 


Jet Davison of Running Springs, Calif. and Cole Custer of Kannapolis, N.C. raced to victory in USAC Ford Focus action Friday night at Santa Maria (Calif.) Speedway. Davison passed Tyler Dolacki on lap four and led the rest of the way to win the 25-lap Ford Focus feature over Randi Pankratz, Jarid Blondel, Gaylon Stewart and Dolacki. In the accompanying Focus Young Guns race, Brodie Kostecki led the first 10 laps, then yielded to Custer, who led the final 10 laps to beat Parker Colston, Katlynn Leer and Kostecki


 


Davison and Custer returned to Santa Maria Saturday and repeated as feature winners at the third-mile dirt oval Davison passed Gaylon Stewart on lap 11 and led the last 10 laps to win the 20-lap Ford Focus feature and Custer caught Christine Breckenridge on lap nine of the Focus Young Guns race and led the last six laps to win the 15-lapper. Garrett Johnson, Wally Pankratz, Stewart and Daniel Williams trailed Davison in the Ford Focuses and Brodie Kostecki finished second to Custer in the Focus Young Guns ahead of Katlynn Leer, Parker Colston and Breckenridge.
