Charlie Butcher of Santa Barbara, Calif. will try to lock up the 2008 USAC Junior Ford Focus Championship this Saturday night when the series concludes at Ventura (Calif.) Raceway.
Butcher leads Tyler Edwards by 120 points with 260 available at Ventura.
Butcher owns four feature victories at the 1/5-mile dirt oval and has added three second and two thirds, while Edwards also has won four times and added a second and two thirds. The two have finished 12 twice, Edwards winning both times.
Other Junior Focus feature winners this year have been Lance Butler and Jake Swanson (two each) plus Joe Leiper and Harris Brooks.
