GAS CITY & MONTPELIER; ALGER UP NEXT
Garrett Peterson scored a pair of wins, while Chris Lamb, Toby Alfrey, Jared Peterson and Ross Rankine also earned victories in USAC Ignite Midget action last weekend.


Races are scheduled this week at Gas City, Ind. Friday (Midwest), Montpelier Saturday (Midwest) and Alger, Wash. Saturday (Northwest).


Garrett Peterson, of West Sacramento, Calif., won two 20-lap Western features at Stockton (Calif.) 99 Speedway. Peterson, who leads both the Western and Western Pavement standings, led all 30 laps of each race. Ricky Bowers, Tyler Edwards, Molly Helmuth and Sheldon Didinger rounded out the “top-five” in the opener. In the nightcap, Helmuth was second, Bowers third, Didinger fourth and Edwards fifth.


Alfrey, of Miamisburg, Ohio, took the Midwest Ignite feature at Kil-Kare Speedway in Xenia, Ohio Friday over Cooper Clouse, Gage Walker, Davey Hamilton Jr. and Tyler Shullick, who led early. Rankine, of Willard, Ohio, won Saturday nights 25-lapper at Lorain County Speedway in South Amherst, Ohio, a race which featured four different lap leaders. Cooper Clouse, Gage Walker, Davey Hamilton Jr. and Tyler Shullick completed the “top-five.”


Lamb, of Colfax, N.C., won Wednesdays 75-lap race at Concord (N.C.) Motorsports Park. Tyler Corriher, Jared Irvan, Mathew Lundstrom, and Orry Hunte trailed. Corriher led the first 50 and Lamb the rest.


Jared Peterson, of Stanwood, Wash., won Saturday’s Northwest Ignite Midget race at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Wash. He pssed Jeremy Miller on lap 10 and led the rest of the 25-lap race to beat Miller, Michael Millard, Garrett Thomas and Garret Johnson.
