IGNITES TARGET STOCKTON & KALAMAZOO


RANKINE, KRACHUN & MILLARD SCORE VICTORIES


Stockton, Calif. and Kalamazoo, Mich. are targets for USAC Ignite Midget competitors this week as the Western and Midwest series continue.


The Western series visits Stockton 99 Speedway Saturday for twin 30-lap features, while the Midwest series is at Kalamazoo Speedway Saturday, with twin-25-lap features on tap.


Ross Rankine of Willard, Ohio score a late-race pass of Chris Lamb Friday night to win the Midwest/Eastern 100-lapper at Plymouth (Ind.) Speedway over Lamb, Copper Clouse, Sam McGhee and Eastern point leader Jared Irvan. Lamb led the first 96 laps before yielding to Rankine.


Ryan Krachun of Neshanic Station, N.J. got by Sam McGhee on lap 11 to win Saturday night’s 25-lap Midwest/Eastern Ignite feature at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, Ill. McGhee took second ahead of Rankine, Tyler Shullick and Irvan.


Jared Peterson’s five-race winning streak in the Northwest Ignite series ended Saturday at Sunset Speedway in Banks, Oregon as he finished third behind Michael Millard and Chase Goetz. The win was the first for Millard, of Brinnan, Wash. as he led all 25 laps to beat Goetz, Peterson, Garrett Thomas and Todd Hartman.
