NEVADA, WASHINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA UP NEXT


PETERSON, WALKER, ELLIOTT NAB IGNITE VICTORIES


USAC Ignite Midget racing will occur this coming weekend in Nevada, Washington and North Carolina as the Western, Northwest and Eastern series all see action. Skagit speedway in Alger, Wash. hosts Saturday’s Northwest event, while the Western series convenes at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway’s Bullring Saturday and Sunday. The Eastern series resumes Monday night at Ace Speedway in Altamahaw, N.C.


Drivers Gage Walker of Indianapolis, Ind., Jared Peterson of Stanwood, Wash. and Cory Elliott of Bakersfield, Calif. emerged with feature win last week’s Ignite races.


Walker led all but the first lap of Saturday’s Midwest feature at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, Ill. to beat Ross Rankine, Cooper Clouse, Ryan Krachun and Sam McGhee. Clouse led the first lap.


Peterson returned to the winners circle Saturday at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Wash. beating Chase Goetz, Ariel Biggs, Garret Johnson and Michael Millard. Biggs led the first 13 laps and Peterson the last 12.


Elliott’s Saturday Western victory came at the Santa Maria (Calif.) Speedway as he led all 25 laps to beat Jet Davison, Parker Colston, Christine Breckenridge and Michael Steele.
