FRANKOSKI, COOMES SCORE AT CONCORD; FRANKOSKI TAKES CAROLINA TITLE

Concord, NC…….Jeremy Frankoski of Huntersville, N.C. is the 2009 USAC Carolina Ford Focus Champion following Saturday night’s series finales at Concord Motorsports Park where he won the first 40-lap feature, then took sixth in the 40-lap nightcap. Eric Coomes of Concord won the second 40-lap race, passing Joe Liguori on lap 18 and leading the rest of the way. Frankoski led all 40 laps of the opener to beat Scott Hunter, Coomes, Steven Intravaia and Tyler Cottongim. Coomes, the fastest qualifier, was trailed by Liguori, Intravaia, Cottongim and Chris Lamb in the finale. Brendan Bock of Franklin, N.Y. also ran a number of exhibition laps in his Junior Ford Focus during the night’s racing action.
